New v3.2 Dropmember Starting at $999

Dropmember V3.2: starting at $999 (available for 60-87 model years)

(includes main crossmember; inner frame supports; upper control arm/air spring mounts; motor mounts for SBC, BBC, GENIII, or In-Line 6; transmission crossmember, upper shock relocator brackets; tie-rod end kit; billet rack and pinion mounting bushings; rack and pinion clearance notches; hardware)

This is the product that put us on the map in the C-10 world. We’ve been fine tuning this product for over five years, and have watched it evolve to where it is today… Version 3.2! The round tube and plate construction of the Dropmember V3.2 allows the component to be both lightweight and stylish, while maintaining the strength, rigidity, and durability of its predecessors (Versions 1, 2, and 3!).  Don’t settle for an imitation or knock-off, buy a Dropmember from Porterbuilt Street Rods, the innovator, and get the knowledge, experience, and service that comes with it!

The Dropmember is a bolt-in replacement crossmember, designed to cure all the front suspension woes associated with a lowered factory suspension.

The benefits of a Dropmember include:

  • Added ground clearance. The Dropmember moves the front suspension components up in the frame, eliminating the front crossmember-to-ground clearance issues found on the factory C10 chassis. The frame-rails under the cab will become the lowest point on the truck! Tired of scraping the lower control arms on every imperfection in the road? We have the cure!
  • Updated, more responsive rack and pinion steering. The Dropmember’s steering geometry was designed around  a 1979-1993 Mustang rack and pinion steering gear. The factory steering box and associated linkage is no longer necessary, allowing the chassis to shed several unwanted pounds!
  • Have you ever noticed that the front wheels aren’t centered on a factory C10 truck? We sure did, and designed the Dropmember to move the wheel center-line forward, centering the wheels! This also aids in tire to firewall clearance on large diameter rubber.
  • Narrowed trac-width for added steering clearance at low ride-heights. We decided it beneficial to narrow the front trac-width approx. 1.5” from factory specs. This allows greater tire clearance at a lower ride height. Want to make a full right turn while your frame-rails are 2” off the ground? A Dropmember will let you!
